NGC MS, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 4/5. CONSTANTINE IX, 1042-1055. AV Histamenon Nomisma (4.40 gms), Constantinople Mint, 1049-1053.
S-1830. Obverse: Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator; Reverse: Crowned facing bust of Constantine, holding labarum and globus cruciger. Rather well centered and struck, this lustrous specimen presents quite well and has remained free from the oft-encountered flan splits which plague this scyphate type. Certified by NGC.
