1900-O VAM-15 Doubled Stars, Clashed obverse. This variety has extremely strong doubling of the stars to the right of the date. Several of the 1878 VAMs have strongly doubled stars like this but nothing else from 1879 onward comes close! VAM-15A results from the clashing of the dies in normal and rotated positions leaving the partial incuse of the edge of n of In as a small tick below two strong clash marks extending from the neck. Some specimens show a third Clash.
